For those art lovers who prefer a more contemporary feel, here is NIKE creating a dazzling effect in Type 304 polished stainless steel

NIKE

Stainless steel shimmers in the changing light and majestically creates the winged effect of our goddess.
This is my best work yet and I can happily consider commissions for both smaller and larger in scale and involving changes in mounting such as wood, hewn stone and slate.

HERMES

Named after the Greek messenger god, HERMES is a creation in stainless steel mounted on a white onyx base.Approximately 55cm high

AETHER

Aether is the Greek Goddess of Air inspired me to attempt an interpretation in curved feathers of stainless steel.

ICARUS

Legend has it that ICARUS the son of Daedalus flew too close to the sun and melted his waxen wings -mine of course are stainless steel!

My work is truly inspired by famous sculptors such as Sempere, Alfaro, Gabo and Meyer.
They are not to be considered replicas but work of my own hand.

I am in my latter years, a retired Hydraulic Mechanical Engineer living in the pretty harbour town of Mevagissey in Cornwall, who rather late in life has realised there is still so much more to do!With no formal art training,I do not profess to be a sculptor or artist
- I simply call myself a structural creator.My media is mainly type 304 stainless steel tube - a product that I have much experience with in my past life, precision prepared and assembled onto a polished quartz base.The Fibonacci’s Sequence and Golden Ratio appear magically within my work given the right light conditions. I name my pieces after noted gods taken from ancient Greek and Egyptian mythology.The winged gods Nike, Hermes and Icarus are my current models at around 600mm (24 inches) high.My favourite piece is Nike as the wings of this piece appear to change form before your eyes as you pass it by.I hope you like my creations
